NITA CONTINUES IN ITS QUEST FOR ENHANCED INDUSTRIAL TRAINING: AUTHORITY RECEIVES VEHICLE DONATION FROM KOREA INTERNATIONAL CO-OPERATION AGENCY [KOICA]

On the 7th of September 2017 the Authority’s NITA Mombasa centre played host to a colourful event that saw NITA receive a car from the Korea International Co-operation Agency [KOICA].

The event, which was graced by KOICA’s Kenya Office Country Director Ms. Hyeyoung Shin  and Annie Wangui who serves as the Agency’s Program Officer, also saw NITA well represented by the Director General Mr. Paul Kosgei  and the Director of Human Resources and Administration Mr. Julius Olayo. Manager Legal Affairs Ms. Irine Ogamba and the NITA Mombasa Centre Manager Mr. Joseph Kinuthia were also present at the event.

On behalf of KOICA Ms. Shin took stock of the collaboration journey with NITA while also being grateful for the milestones that had been achieved as a result of the partnership between the two entities. On his part Mr. Kosgei, who spoke on behalf of the Board of Directors and Management of NITA expressed his gratitude to KOICA not only for the vehicle but for the motivation to enhance Kenya’s standards of industrial training for an adequate workforce through the partnership.

The event would not have been complete without a tree planting session, an action that Ms. Shin ably took on under the guidance of the Director General. The vehicle, which had been beautifully packaged, was then presented to the NITA Team with Mr. Kosgei giving it a test engine rev to ensure that it was indeed in good working condition.

We here at NITA would like to take this opportunity once again to express our sincere gratitude to KOICA for the generous donation that will go a long way in assisting NITA in effectively executing its mandate.
