The National Industrial Training Authority (NITA) is a State Corporation established under the Industrial Training Act Cap 237 which was revised in 2011. The Authority’s mandate is to promote the highest standards in the quality and efficiency of Industrial Training in Kenya and to ensure an adequate supply of properly trained manpower at all levels in the industry.
The Ministry of Education has received a grant from the African Development Bank (AfDB) and in partnership with NITA will provide training in welding skills for the disengaged vulnerable youths from the Republic of Kenya up to Master Craftsman level. The training is open for youth aged between 18 to 35 years.
Interested persons are invited to apply if they meet the following conditions:
- Proficiency in ICT.
- Any of the following certificates:
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering;
- Craft certificate in Welding and Fabrication;
- Craft Certificate in Production;
- Government Trade Test II or I;
- Three (3) years experience in welding.
Please note that the training is fully sponsored including industrial attachment and accommodation subject to commitment by the applicant to the training duration of 18 months.
