National Industrial Training Authority - NITA signed the performance contracting for the Financial Year 2023/24 on 24/8/2023 at the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection, under the esteemed presence of Cs Labour Hon Florence Bore.
NITA was part of Skills4Prosperity (S4P) Learning Event held on 24th-25th January 2023, at the Crown Plaza hotel in Nairobi.
NITA is a key player in the implementation of Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) in the country. The RPL process enables persons to acquire formal qualifications that matches their knowledge and skills and thereby, contributing to improving their employ-ability, mobility and lifelong learning.
Section 3A of the Industrial Training Act provides for the Powers and Functions of the Authority which include; Assessing industrial training, testing occupational skills and awarding certificates including Government trade test certificates. In furtherance of this function, the Authority has been conducting the National Trade Test since 1959.
